Kauai is aptly nicknamed, because this wonderful island is graced with lush, tropical beauty, wide sandy beaches and incredible scenery that have been featured in quite a few movies over the years. Think of the Garden Isle as the perfect get-away place.
Some of that scenery lends itself to adventure tours. The North Shore with its rugged cliffs and knife-like ridges, for example, is only accessible by hiking, boat or helicopter. The latter is also a great way to see the 'Grand Canyon' near Waimea in west Kauai and other sights that only the most serious hikers otherwise see . . . and you'll definitely want to check out some of the little shops and eating experiences in places like Kapaa, Princeville and Hanalei.
Kauai boasts fewer people than the other major islands but a better chance to experience the aloha spirit. Also, the world-class resorts can deliver on all your expectations of superlative accommodations and wedding arrangements.
If you come to Kauai, it probably won't be your one-and-only trip.
